Press Officer in the Press and Publications Office

The Press and Publications Office is seeking a Press Officer to promote all aspects of the University. The successful candidate will work with the University Departments, researching newsworthy developments and publicizing them to the national, international, and local media. Candidates will have excellent writing and communication skills as well as the ability to work under pressure.

The post-holder will also need to demonstrate ability to think strategically about communications issues, and will be a graduate, with good interpersonal skills and will have high professional standards.

The salary for this post will be in the range of £21,125 to £27,339 a year, and will be for three years in the first instance.

Project Administrator for the Cambridge Student Information System (CamSIS)

Applications are invited for a full-time unestablished post at Administrative Officer, Grade II level. The appointment will be for a fixed period of three years in the first instance.

The University is currently out to tender for a multimillion pound project to provide a student information system for the University and Colleges. The Project Administrator will fulfil a key role in this challenging project, providing administrative support through servicing the Project Board, Steering Group, and other working groups, the administration of the Project Office, and the provision of administrative support for the project team.

Applicants will be expected to be of graduate calibre and will have sound administrative skills including committee servicing, initiative, commitment, and the ability to work with other team members. Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines are essential. Sensitivity to and, preferably, knowledge of the particular complexities of a collegiate university would also be an asset. Salary will be in the range of £21,125 to £27,339 a year.
