MEMORIAL SERVICE

A Memorial Service will be held for Sidney Kenderdine, Ph.D., in the Lent Term on Saturday, 1 February 2003, at 2.30 p.m. in the College Chapel. (See also Obituary Notice, p. 374.)

ABDULLAH AL-MUBARAK RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

The College hopes to elect not later than 1 April 2003 to an Abdullah Al-Mubarak Research Fellowship In Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies, with tenure from 1 October 2003. Candidates may be men or women and should have recently completed or be about to complete a Ph.D. Degree. The College welcomes applications from scholars with research interests in any aspect of Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies. The tenure of the Fellowship will be for three years. The holder will be permitted to do a limited amount of teaching for the College, but would require the permission of the Governing Body to undertake other paid work. The stipend currently ranges from £16,624 and is reviewed annually. Further financial particulars are available on request.
