Appointments Committees for the consideration of applications for promotion to the office of University Senior Lecturer with effect from 1 October 2002: Notice

The General Board have agreed that the members of Appointments Committees who are eligible to apply for promotion to the office of University Senior Lecturer should be replaced by senior academics who are not eligible to apply, for the meetings at which applications for promotion to University Senior Lectureship are considered, and that these changes in membership should be published in the Reporter.

The changes in membership of Appointments Committees constituted in accordance with Statute D, XVII, 3, which will be meeting to consider applications for promotion to the office of University Senior Lectureships, and which have been notified and approved to date are set out below.

The categories of membership as set out in Statute D, XVII, 3, are:

(a) the Vice-Chancellor's Deputy;
(b) the Head of Department or Chairman of Faculty Board, as the case may be;
(c) members appointed by the Faculty Board or comparable authority;
(d) members appointed by the General Board.
