Heraldic and Genealogical Society

The following meetings and events will take place during Michaelmas Term. Speaker meetings are held at 8.45 p.m. on Thursdays in the Thirkill Room, Clare College, unless otherwise stated. All members of the University are welcome, but are reminded that gowns should be worn. Persons wishing to dine with the Society beforehand should contact the Senior Treasurer (tel. 01223 356388), by 5 p.m. on the preceding Tuesday. 31 October It remains to be seen: why we cut stone, by Lida Lopes Cardozo Kindersley
14 November Polish heraldry, by W. Lesiecki. Meeting in the Small Hall, Clare College.
16 November Visit to College of Arms. 10.50 a.m., Queen Victoria Street. Admission by ticket. Numbers limited.
28 November The Eve Logan Memorial Lecture. Town, gown, and crown, by Dr Robin Glasscock.
7 December St Nicholas Feast. White tie and decorations or black tie.
