University Lecturer in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry

A University Lecturer in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Consultant Level in the Department of Psychiatry is required to take up appointment as soon as possible. The successful applicant, who will be recommended for an honorary consultant contract with the Addenbrooke's NHS Trust, will be required to undertake teaching, research, and clinical work. The appointment will be for five years, with the possibility of reappointment to the retiring age.

The pensionable scale of stipends for a University Lecturer is £22,522 a year rising by eleven annual increments to £34,734 a year. The successful candidate will be eligible to receive an additional payment for clinical responsibility related to the amount of NHS work undertaken. If, as expected, the Lecturer undertakes the equivalent of six or more NHS sessions a week of clinical work the payment will be such as to bring his or her total pensionable emoluments into line with a point on the NHS salary scale for consultants (£52,640 to £68,505).

Assistant Under-Librarian (Head of the Library Offices) in the University Library

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Head of the Library Offices in the University Library. Applicants should have excellent IT, organizational, and communication skills, along with a flexible approach and the capacity to work in a rapidly changing environment. He/she should have knowledge, experience, and understanding of University financial procedures and policies, the ability to access and interpret them, to assess them in terms relevant to the University Library, and to communicate them effectively to relevant Library staff. Candidates should have a good honours degree, or appropriate professional qualification, together with experience of working in an academic environment. Salary is in the range of £20,470 to £26,491 a year (Assistant Under-Librarian grade).

Temporary lecturing position in the Department of Land Economy (Real Estate Finance)

Applications are invited for a temporary lecturing position in Real Estate Finance. The successful candidate will be expected to make a substantial contribution to teaching on the M.Phil. degree in Real Estate Finance. Candidates should have teaching and research experience in the areas of finance, valuation, investment, and risk analysis as applied to real estate. Applications from visitors wishing to spend time in the Department of Land Economy on leave from other universities would be welcomed, subject to approval of a work permit if needed. The level of the appointment will depend on the experience of applicants. The position is subject to the availability of funding.

Hardship Funds Promotion Officer in the Secretariat

A one-year full-time post is available within the Secretariat, based at The Old Schools, undertaking a project for the Council's Committee on Hardship Funds, to create a comprehensive website to improve the promotion and administration of funding support available to 'home' students facing unexpected financial difficulties. The duties of the post will include liaising with students, College Tutors, external funding bodies, and student support departments at other universities to enquire about funding opportunities and promotional material. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate excellent writing and research skills, and experience of IT and HTML. Candidates should have a degree or similar qualification. Some knowledge of funding issues facing 'home' students would be an advantage. The appointment will be for one year only, payable on the pensionable scale of stipends for an Administrative Officer, Grade II, currently £20,470 to £26,491.
