Appointments and reappointments

The following appointments and reappointments have been made:

Appointments

University Senior Lecturer

Pharmacology. Dr T. P. Fan, B.Sc., Ph.D., London, appointed from 1 October 2001 until the retiring age.

University Lecturer

Computer Laboratory. Dr S. B. Holden, Ph.D., CC, B.Sc., East Anglia, appointed from 1 October 2002 for three years.

Physics. Dr C. MacPhee, B.Sc., Ph.D., Melbourne, appointed from 1 October 2002 for three years.

Assistant Director

Centre for Applied Research in Educational Technologies. Mr K. D. Whittlestone, B.Vet.Med., London, appointed from 1 December 2001 for five years.

Head of Department

Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. Professor G. R. Grimmett, B.A., M.Sc., D.Phil., Oxford, appointed from 1 October 2002 for five years.

Assistant Registrary

Board of Graduate Studies. Mrs L. Everard, B.A., Oxford, Postgrad. Dip., London, appointed from 22 August 2002 for three years.

University Offices (Secretariat). Mrs I. Hunter, lic. phil., Zurich, appointed from 1 January 2002 until the retiring age.

Administrative Officer

Oriental Studies. Mrs J. Fisher-Hunt, B.A., London, appointed Administrative Officer, Grade II, from 1 November 2001 for three years.

Computer Officer

Computing Service. Mr K. Yellop, B.Tec., Suffolk College, H.N.C., Anglia Polytechnic, appointed Computer Officer, Grade III, from 1 June 2002 for five years.

Reappointments

University Lecturer

Architecture. Dr M. McEvoy, EM, reappointed from 13 February 2003 until the retiring age.

Chemical Engineering. Dr S. S. S. Cardoso, PEM, reappointed from 1 January 2003 until the retiring age.

Senior Research Officer

Economics and Politics. Dr A. Garratt reappointed from 1 October 2002 for one year.

Under Librarian

University Library. Miss C. E. Webster reappointed from 1 January 2003 until the retiring age.

Assistant Under Librarians

University Library. Miss J. Cox reappointed from 1 January 2003 until the retiring age. Mr J. D. Wells reappointed from 1 December 2002 until the retiring age.
