Sidney Sussex College seeks to appoint a Domestic Bursar from 1 October 2002 or shortly thereafter who will be responsible for College buildings, the kitchens, and other domestic activities including housekeeping, conferencing, security, and gardens. The Domestic Bursar also acts as Health and Safety Officer. Senior administrative and staff management experience is essential; experience in catering, buildings maintenance, and health and safety would be advantageous. Energy, integrity, and excellent interpersonal skills are all required.
The post is on a scale of £36,000 to £41,000 a year (2002-03), but the starting stipend is unlikely to be above £38,500. The person appointed will be elected to a Fellowship of the College.
