Oriental Studies Tripos

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 371)

With effect from 1 October 2002

Following changes to the Theological and Religious Studies Tripos the title of Paper H. 19 in the Oriental Studies Tripos, which is a borrowed paper from that Tripos, has been amended; the new paper has been made more widely available to candidates in Hebrew and Hebrew and Israeli Studies. The option of a dissertation has also been made available for candidates taking papers in these subjects from Schedule IIF (i.e. candidates taking Part II in the year after they have taken Part I).

Regulation 11.

Hebrew Studies

By amending the title of Paper H. 19 so as to read:

H. 19 Judaism II (Paper C8 of the Theological and Religious Studies Tripos (New Regulations)).

SCHEDULE IIA (Whole-subjects)

(5) Hebrew

(ii) Hebrew and Jewish studies

By amending sub-paragraph (c) so as to read:

(c) four papers chosen from H. 13, 14, 16-19, Am. 11;

Regulation 16.

SCHEDULE IIF (Whole-subjects)

(1) Hebrew studies

By amending sub-paragraph (b) so as to read:

(b) either three papers chosen from H. 13-14, 16-19, Am. 11,

or two papers chosen from H. 13-14, 16-19, Am. 11, and a dissertation;

(2) Hebrew and Israeli Studies

By amending sub-paragraph (b) so as to read:

(b) either five papers chosen from H. 11-14, 16-19, Am. 11,

or four papers chosen from H. 11-14, 16-19, Am. 11, and a dissertation;

Changes have also been made to Schedule A (papers available from other Triposes) as follows:
