Supplements to pensions (FSSU): Notice

The Council give notice, on the authorization of Universities UK and in accordance with the Pension Increase (Review) Order of 2002, of increases in the supplementation of pensions of retired University officers, under the FSSU supplementation scheme, to be made with effect from 8 April 2002. For the purpose of determining the approved pension for retired University officers and hence their eligibility to receive a supplement under Regulation 6 or Regulation 10 of the regulations for supplements to pensions (Ordinances, 1979, p. 116), the method of calculation will be amended as follows:

With effect from 8 April 2002 each pension calculated in accordance with either Regulation 7 or Regulation 9 of the regulations for supplements to pensions, as increased by Notices of the Council (see Reporter, 2000-01, p. 680, for the most recent such Notice), will be further increased as follows:

for officers who retired
before 23 April 2001 1.70 per cent
between 24 April and 23 May 2001 1.56 per cent
between 24 May and 23 June 2001 1.42 per cent
between 24 June and 23 July 2001 1.28 per cent
between 24 July and 23 August 2001 1.13 per cent
between 24 August and 23 September 2001 0.99 per cent
between 24 September and 23 October 2001 0.85 per cent
between 24 October and 23 November 2001 0.71 per cent
between 24 November and 23 December 2001 0.57 per cent
between 24 December 2001 and 23 January 2002 0.43 per cent
between 24 January and 23 February 2002 0.28 per cent
between 24 February and 23 March 2002 0.14 per cent
after 24 March 2002 nil
