St John's College

An exhibition to celebrate the life and work of Samuel Butler (1835-1902), author, artist, and photographer, will take place in the School of Pythagoras, St John's College, until 30 June, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.

A colloquium on Butler's life and work will take place on Saturday, 22 June, and will include contributions from Dr Mary Beard, Dame Gillian Beer, Dr Elizabeth Edwards, Professor James Paradis, Dr Thomas Röske, and Dr Elinor Shaffer.
