Homerton College

PRINCIPAL'S SECRETARY

Homerton College seeks applicants for the post of Principal's Secretary. This is a senior post and in addition to having highly-developed secretarial and organizational skills, the successful applicant will need to be an excellent communicator, will be able to work under minimal supervision and will be able to handle urgent matters that arise in the Principal's absence. The duties of the post also include committee administration in the form of agenda planning and minute taking. The successful applicant will be well-educated (preferably to degree level or equivalent) and will have experience of working in a senior secretarial position, preferably within the field of higher education.

The salary is on the scale of £16,838 to £20,085 a year. Annual holiday entitlement is 25 days rising to 30 days after five years' continuous employment. Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme is optional. This is a full-time post (37 hours per week) but there is a possibility of some flexibility in hours if required.
