Fixed-term Lectureship in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and the Department of Social Anthropology

Applications are invited for a fixed-term Lectureship in the social aspects of human genetics and genomics. The successful candidate will be expected to offer teaching for both the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and the Department of Social Anthropology, with the post-holder's research based in one or other of these. 40% of the post-holder's time will be devoted to the agenda of the Cambridge Genetics Knowledge Park. A postgraduate qualification in sociology, social anthropology, or a related social science is required. The post-holder will have a strong interest in research and teaching on social aspects of human genetics. It is hoped that the successful candidate will take up the post on 1 October 2002.

The post will be for three years in the first instance with the possibility of reappointment for an additional fourth year. The stipend scale will be £22,522 to £34,734 a year depending on experience.
