REGULATIONS FOR EXAMINATIONS: NOTICE BY THE GENERAL BOARD

The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board or other authority concerned, the regulations for certain University examinations have been amended as follows:

Music Tripos, Part IB and Part II

SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

(Statutes and Ordinances, pp. 345 and 350)

With effect from 1 October 2002

The supplementary regulations for the portfolio of tonal compositions under Part IB of both the Old and the New Regulations for the Music Tripos have been amended to allow for submission of one longer composition. The text has been amended as follows:

By replacing, in the second paragraph, the second sentence with the following:

One of the two non-fugal compositions shall be of not more than about eight minutes' duration, excluding repeats, and the other two compositions shall be of not more than about five minutes' duration, excluding repeats. Each composition or group of songs shall be for an ensemble of not more than five players.
