TWO-YEAR JUNIOR LECTURERSHIP IN LATIN AMERICAN HISTORY IN THE FACULTY OF MODERN HISTORY

The Faculty of Modern History invites applications for a two-year Junior Lecturership to teach Latin American History from 1 October 2002, to replace Professor Alan Knight who will be on leave as British Academy Research Reader. The annual stipend is £17,451 to £18,471 with a discretionary range to £20,267. The Lecturer will be required to undertake up to sixteen lectures and sixteen classes for the Faculty of Modern History and up to six hours of tutorial teaching per week for Colleges for which additional payment is made by the Colleges. Applicants should be specialists on Latin American history and should hold, or be about to be awarded, a doctoral degree.
