Somerville College

TWELVE-HOUR STIPENDIARY LECTURERSHIP IN FRENCH

The College invites applications for the post of Stipendiary Lecturer in French, for one year in the first instance, from 1 October 2002. The Lecturer will be required to provide an annual average of twelve hours' tutorial teaching a week during the three Full Terms (each lasting eight weeks) of the academic year. The Lecturer will be required to teach a range of subjects for the Preliminary and Final Honours Schools, to act as Personal Tutor for about twenty undergraduates, and to play a full role in the admissions process in December.

The appointment will be on point one (currently £16,426) or point two (currently £17,446) of an incremental scale, depending on experience. The Lecturer will have a teaching room in College and will be a member of the Senior Common Room. He or she will be entitled to a number of meals in each College during Full Term.
