Second Veterinary M.B. Examination, 2001 (Preparing for the Veterinary Profession A): Notice

The General Board, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board of Clinical Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty Board of Biology and notwithstanding Regulation 8(b) for the Second Veterinary M.B. Examination (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 511), have agreed that candidates for Preparing for the Veterinary Profession A (PFVPA) in the Second Veterinary M.B. Examination in 2001 shall be required, in place of the stated requirements for the examination, to submit a record consisting of a written report on one or more farm (or other agricultural enterprises) where they have seen 'farm practice' in order to qualify for the examination. The records shall be submitted not later than 30 April 2002.

The Medical and Veterinary Sciences Tripos and the Second Veterinary M.B. Examination have recently been substantially revised. As a result of extenuating circumstances, including the presence of foot and mouth disease, it was not possible to run the examinations of the initial year of the first part of the Preparing for the Veterinary Profession Course (PFVPA) for all candidates during the Easter Term 2001.
