Pinsent-Darwin Award in Mental Pathology: Notice

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 821)

The Managers of the Pinsent-Darwin Fund invite applications for the above award, tenable from October 2002 or at a later date to be agreed with the successful applicant. The successful applicant will be required to undertake original research into any problem, which may have a bearing on mental defects, diseases, or disorders. The award is for a postdoctoral researcher and the successful candidate will be expected to hold a Ph.D.

Tenure will be for two years in the first instance with the possibility of renewal for a further two years.

The successful applicant will be appointed on the stipend range of £17,626 to £26,491 a year; the precise place on appointment to be determined by age and experience. The successful applicant will also be eligible to join the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS).
