Joint Report of the Council and the General Board on the implementation in Cambridge of the 2001 pay increase for non-clinical academic and academic-related staff: Notice

18 March 2002

The Council have considered the remarks made by Dr H. R. N. Jones at the Discussion of this Report on 4 December 2001 (Reporter, p. 388). They have consulted the General Board and have agreed to comment as follows:

Dr Jones referred to the proposal to realign the top of the Senior Assistant in Research scale of stipends with the Research Associate scale, which had recently been brought into line with the national post-doctoral RAIA scale. He suggested that the General Board now look at the case for making a similar adjustment to the top of the Technical Officer scale of stipends.

The General Board have considered Dr Jones's comments and have agreed that the adjustment that he proposes be made, and that it be effective from the same date as the adjustment made in respect of Senior Assistants in Research, that is 1 April 2001.
