REGULATIONS FOR EXAMINATIONS: NOTICE BY THE GENERAL BOARD

The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board or other authority concerned, the regulations for certain University examinations have been amended as follows:

Natural Sciences Tripos, Part IB and Part II (General)

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 353)

On the recommendation of the Committee of Management for the Natural Sciences Tripos, the General Board have approved the change of name of the subject Plant Sciences to Plant and Microbial Sciences in Part IB and Part II (General) of the Tripos to more closely represent the content of the course. The Board have also approved the removal of the subject Fluid Mechanics from Part IB and Part II (General) of the Tripos from October 2003 as few students have chosen this subject in recent years.

With effect from 1 October 2002

Regulation 9.

By replacing the subject 'Plant Sciences' in Part IB of the Tripos by 'Plant and Microbial Sciences'.

Regulations 20, 21(b)(ii), 22(b)(vi), and 26(g)(vi).

By replacing the words 'Plant Sciences' by the words 'Plant and Microbial Sciences'.

With effect from 1 October 2003

Regulation 9.

By deleting the subject 'Fluid Mechanics' in Part IB of the Tripos.

Regulations 20, 21(b)(ii), 21(c)(iii), 22(b)(vi), and 26(g)(vi).

By deleting the words 'Fluid Mechanics'.

Regulation 26(h)(v).

By deleting the words 'or Fluid Mechanics'.
