The Charlie Bayne Trust is now accepting applications. The closing date for applications is 1 May. Application forms and further details are available from the Disability Resource Centre. Please contact Juanita Payne (tel. 01223 332301, e-mail jp305@cam.ac.uk).
The trust offers travel grants to undergraduate and postgraduate students with a disability in the University of Cambridge or Anglia Polytechnic University. Residents of Bridget's shall have preference in the allocation of grants. The Trust is intended to assist students who face extra costs in travelling as a result of their disability.
The Trustees have discretion on the number and size of the awards, and grants are normally up to £500 per person, awarded according to merit and cost effectiveness of applications rather than their size. Grants awarded might be smaller in size than the amounts sought by the applicants.
