JOHN EDGAR STEVENS, Ph.D., FBA, CBE, President of Magdalene College, 1983-88, Emeritus Fellow of Magdalene College, Emeritus Professor of Medieval and Renaissance English, died on Thursday, 14 February 2002, aged 80 years.
