Brasenose College

STIPENDIARY LECTURERSHIPS IN ECONOMICS

Brasenose College proposes to appoint a temporary Lecturer to provide between eight and ten hours of teaching a week on average; and two temporary Lecturers to provide between four and six hours of teaching a week on average. All three Lectureships are tenable for one year from 1 October 2002. The benchmark for the stipends will be at the rate of £8,213 for a six-hour Lecturer. In addition the Lecturers will be entitled to some free meals at the common table in weeks 0-9 of Term. The persons appointed will work under the direction of the College's Fellows in Economics.

Applicants should be able to teach the Introduction to Economics paper to first-year undergraduates; the Microeconomics and/or the Macroeconomics paper to second-year undergraduates; and one option paper.

Letters of application, including a curriculum vitae and the names and addresses of two referees, should reach the Senior Tutor, Brasenose College, Oxford, OX1 4AJ, no later than Friday, 15 March. Applicants should ask their referees to write to the Senior Tutor by the same date.
