Girton College

ADMISSIONS SECRETARY

Girton College wishes to appoint an experienced full-time Admissions Secretary to run its Admissions Office. This is a demanding role with responsibility for all aspects of the admission of undergraduates and affiliated students. The ability to work accurately under pressure, a good telephone manner, sense of humour, and tolerance are essential. Excellent computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, and databases) will be required in order to make best use of the College's networked computer system. Knowledge of the Collegiate system would be an advantage. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to apply to become the Head of a combined Admissions and Tutorial Office when the present Head of the Tutorial Office retires in three years' time. The salary is on the CS5 scale (£16,838 to £20,085). It is expected that the Head of the combined Office will be appointed at the level of CS6 (£20,085 to £23,305). The post offers 35 days a year, including statutory holidays.

All Girton College staff have access to car parking and a meal allowance, which may be spent in either of the College's cafeterias.
