The Faculty Board of Oriental Studies give notice of the following amendment to the form of the examination for Paper Is. 12 (Arabic language, 4) published in Reporter, p. 323 as follows:
This paper will consist of two passages for translation from Arabic to English (35 marks each) with comments on the difficulties involved in the translation (5 marks per passage) and one passage of Arabic with its English translation for critical discussion (20 marks). Candidates may make use of the Arabic-English dictionaries provided.
The Faculty Board are satisfied that no candidate's preparation for the examination in 2002 will be adversely affected by this amendment.
