Churchill College

CHURCHILL ARCHIVES CENTRE DIRECTORSHIP

Applications are invited for the post of Director of the Churchill Archives Centre. The Centre is one of the premier archives for twentieth-century British history, having over 500 collections in the fields of political, military, diplomatic, and scientific history. It houses the papers of Winston Churchill, Neil Kinnock, Margaret Thatcher, and many other politicians. The Director will succeed previous holders of the part-time post of Keeper. The successful candidate will have a background in professional archive work and/or academic history. The Directorship carries a salary in the range of £31,000 to £40,000 a year and a Fellowship of Churchill College. The initial appointment will be for five years.
