Slade Professorship of Fine Art: Notice

The Board of Electors to the Slade Professorship of Fine Art invite applications for this Visiting Professorship for the academical year 2003-04 and onwards. The successful candidate is not required to reside in the University. It will be the duty of the Professor to deliver twelve lectures, in Term time of the academical year, on the History, Theory, and Practice of Fine Arts, and up to four of the lectures may be replaced by an equivalent amount of teaching in the form of classes as agreed with the Department of History of Art.

Further information may be obtained from the Academic Secretary, Academic Division, University Offices, The Old Schools, Cambridge, CB2 1TT (e-mail ibise@admin.cam.ac.uk), to whom a letter of application, marked 'Confidential', a curriculum vitae, and a publications list should be sent, together with the names of two referees, so as to reach him not later than 15 March 2002.
