Lincoln College

STIPENDIARY LECTURERSHIP IN PHILOSOPHY

Lincoln College invites applications from graduates, either men or women, for a Stipendiary Lecturership in Philosophy, tenable and non-renewable for one year from 1 October 2002 to 30 September 2003. The successful candidate will be expected to teach up to twelve hours a week. The salary offered is currently £16,595 a year. Certain Common Room rights and allowances are also offered.

The College is particularly concerned to provide the teaching of introductory logic, Descartes, knowledge and reality, and the history of philosophy from Descartes to Kant. The ability to teach one or more further subjects would be an advantage. As part of the ordinary duties of the post, the Lecturer will assist generally in the organization of teaching in Philosophy, supervision of students, including setting and marking collections, and to assist with the Admissions process in Michaelmas Term.
