St Catharine's College

COLLEGE TEACHING OFFICER IN MATHEMATICS FOR SCIENTISTS

The College wishes to appoint a College Lecturer, whose primary duty will be to teach mathematics to undergraduates who are reading science subjects (ideally all sciences, from the physical sciences through to biological sciences).

The successful candidate must have a proven record of teaching mathematics at the appropriate level with enthusiasm, ability, and clarity. Such experience may have been gained at a school, a further education establishment, or a university. There may be other duties from time to time, the most important of which will involve seeing potential candidates for admission from schools.

This is a full-time appointment at the appropriate grade on the University scale. It is expected that the successful candidate will be eligible for election to a College Fellowship. The closing date for applications is 28 February, and the appointment will commence on 1 September 2002. Please write to the Master at St Catharine's College, Cambridge, CB2 1RL, for further particulars.
