THREE-YEAR FIXED-TERM COLLEGE TEACHING FELLOWSHIP IN POLITICS (RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT)

Pembroke College invites applications for a full-time College Teaching Fellowship in Politics with a specialism in Russian Government, tenable for three years from 1 October 2002 to replace Dr Stephen Whitefield during the tenure of his Leverhulme Major Research Fellowship.

The post will involve teaching of the Russian Government option for the Department and tutorial teaching for Pembroke College. This will involve parts of the Politics components of the first year course for Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) and Modern History and Politics (MHP), and the Comparative Government and/or Political Sociology core papers for the Final Honour School.

The salary for the post will be spine point 8 on the national scale, £21,503 (from 1 March 2002) a year, subject to review. The Fellow will be entitled to an appropriate pension scheme, and common room rights.

Applicants should cite two pieces of published written work which they wish the selection committee to consider, or should submit unpublished work of not more than 10,000 words. Candidates should ask their referees to send in their submissions to Pembroke College by the said date. It is expected that interviews will be held during the week of 25 February 2002.
