Graces to be submitted to the Regent House at a Congregation on 8 December 2001

The Council have sanctioned the submission of the following Graces to the Regent House at a Congregation to be held on 8 December 2001:

That the following person be admitted to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy by incorporation:

1. RICHARD WILLIAM DANCE, University Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic, Fellow of St Catharine's College, Doctor of Philosophy of the University of Oxford (1988).

That the following person be admitted to the degree of Master of Arts by incorporation:

2. CHRISTOPHER RALF PALMER, Fellow of Hughes Hall, Master of Arts of the University of Oxford (1987).

That the following persons be admitted to the degree of Master of Arts under the provisions of Statute B, III, 6:

3. STEPHEN ANTHONY ALFORD, University Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of History, Fellow of King's College.

4. GERALD FOSTER, Computer Officer, Grade I, in the University Computing Service, and of Fitzwilliam College.

5. LAKSHMINARAYANAN MAHADEVAN, Schlumberger Professor of Complex Physical Systems in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, Fellow of Trinity College.

6. DAME VERONICA SUTHERLAND, President of Lucy Cavendish College.

7. ANDREW DAVID HAMILTON WYLLIE, Professor of Pathology, and Fellow of St John's College.

8. SIR ROGER WILLIAM CORK, Fellow of Hughes Hall.

9. ANTHONY DICKINSON, Professor of Comparative Psychology, and Fellow of Hughes Hall.

10. ADRIAAN LOUIS, Fellow of Hughes Hall.

11. SARA ELIZABETH MELVILLE, Fellow of Hughes Hall.
