Philosophical Society

A one-day meeting on Interference will be held in the Pippard Lecture Theatre, Cavendish Laboratory, on Monday 3 December, 2001, starting at 9.30 a.m. This will be an interdisciplinary meeting open to all members of the University.

At a meeting held on 19 November 2001 in the Cockcroft Lecture Theatre, New Museums Site, Professor A. Howie, President, was in the Chair.

Dr R. H. S. Carpenter, of the Department of Physiology, presented a lecture entitled Choice or chance - how the brain makes decisions. A vote of thanks was moved by Dr C. Huang.
