Announcement of lectures and seminars

The following lectures and seminars will be open to members of the University and others who are interested:

Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic. Professor David Ganz, of King's College, London, will give a lecture entitled Can we write the history of Anglo-Saxon libraries?, at 6.15 p.m. on Thursday, 22 November, in the Old Combination Room, Trinity College.

English. Judith E. Wilson Fund. The Raymond Williams Lecture for 2001, entitled Literary mapping, will be given by Professor Franco Moretti, of Stanford University, on Thursday, 22 November, in the Little Hall, Sidgwick Site, at 5 p.m.

Oriental Studies. Sir Stephen Gomersall, HM Ambassador to Japan, will give a talk entitled Koizumi's Japan - what has changed?, on 23 November at 5 p.m., in Seminar Room G21 in the Faculty of Classics, Sidgwick Site. The talk will be hosted by the East Asian Institute and the Centre for International Studies.
