Wadham College

ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATOR OR REGISTRAR

The College seeks to appoint to one or the other of these senior administrative posts in the New Year. The person appointed will be in charge of the College's Tutorial Office, and will work closely with the Senior Tutor and other College Officers. The office presently consists of one full-time and one part-time assistant.

Candidates for either post must possess the necessary skills to manage a busy office. Willingness and ability to help develop the use of IT in college administration is essential.

Applicants for the post of Administrator should either be graduates with relevant experience or have had extensive experience of university administration. The salary will be on a scale which currently runs from £27,273 to £32,215, with discretionary points up to £38,221. The post will be superannuated.

Applicants for the post of Registrar should be graduates with relevant experience of university administration or teaching. The salary will be on a scale running from £27,273 to £40,176. The post will be superannuated. If a Registrar is appointed, he or she will be elected to a Fellowship of the College and will also serve as Tutor for Admissions with responsibility for promoting links with schools and implementing the College's admissions policy.
