Annual Meetings of Faculties

Education

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Education gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 4.15 p.m. on Thursday, 22 November 2001, at the Faculty of Education, Shaftesbury Road. The business of the meeting will include the election, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of one member of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve from 1 January 2002 for four years in place of the retiring member, Ms M. J. Drummond, who is eligible for re-election.

Nominations for the election, signed by the proposer and the seconder and by the nominee, indicating willingness to serve if elected, and notice of any other business, should be sent to the Secretary of the Faculty of Education, 17 Trumpington Street, Cambridge, CB2 1QA, to reach her not later than Wednesday, 14 November 2001.

Mathematics

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Mathematics gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Thursday, 15 November 2001, in the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Wolfson Room (MR2). The main item of business will be the election, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of one member of the Faculty Board in class (a)ii, to serve from 1 January 2002 (for two years), and two members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve from 1 January 2002 (for four years).

Nominations for these elections should reach the Secretary of the Faculty Board of Mathematics, Faculty Office, Room B1.29, Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Wilberforce Road, not later than noon on Thursday, 8 November.

Nominations should be in writing, should bear the signatures of the proposer and seconder, and should contain a signed statement by the nominee that he/she would consent to serve if elected. Any further items for the agenda should reach the Secretary by the same date.

Physics and Chemistry

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Physics and Chemistry gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Friday, 16 November 2001, in the Committee Room, Institute of Astronomy, Madingley Road. The main business will be the election of two members of the Faculty Board in class (c), in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), to serve for four years from 1 January 2002. There is one vacancy and the retiring member is Dr J. R. Waldram.

Nominations, signed by the proposer and seconder, for which the consent of the candidate must be obtained, should reach the Secretary at the Institute of Astronomy not later than Tuesday, 13 November. Notice of any other business should reach the Secretary by the same date.

Social and Political Sciences

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Social and Political Sciences gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, 8 November 2001, in the Committee Room, Old Cavendish Building, New Museums Site. All members of the Faculty are invited to attend. An election will be held, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of four members of the Faculty Board in class (c). Two members are required to replace resigning members from 1 January 2002; one for a period of one year and one for a period of three years. Two members are required to replace members who have come to the end of their term and are therefore to serve for four years from 1 January 2002.

Nominations, proposed and seconded in writing, together with an indication of the nominee's willingness to serve, should be sent in writing to the Secretary of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Free School Lane, not later than Wednesday, 7 November 2001. Notice of any other business should reach the Secretary by the same date.
