PROFESSORSHIP OF PUBLIC HEALTH

The electors intend to proceed to an election to the Professorship of Public Health with effect from as early a date as may be arranged.

Academic public health in Oxford covers a wide spectrum of disciplines, including biostatistics, epidemiology, health economics, health promotion, health services research, medical ethics, occupational medicine, and social science. Applications are invited from suitably-qualified candidates in any of these or other academic disciplines within public health.

A non-stipendiary fellowship at St Cross College is attached to the professorship.

Applications (eleven copies, or one only from overseas candidates), naming three persons (with postal and e-mail addresses, including telephone and fax numbers), who have agreed to act as referees on this occasion, should be received not later than 10 December 2001 by the Registrar, University Offices, Wellington Square, Oxford, OX1 2JD, from whom further particulars may be obtained. WAYNFLETE PROFESSORSHIP OF METAPHYSICAL PHILOSOPHY

The electors intend to proceed to an election to the Waynflete Professorship of Metaphysical Philosophy, with effect from 1 October 2002, or such later date as may be arranged. The Professor must have interests in central areas of philosophy, which include metaphysics, broadly conceived. A non-stipendiary fellowship at Magdalen College is attached to the Professorship.
