Disability equality training for University staff: Notice

The Disability Resource Centre is offering the following training courses for staff during Michaelmas Term. Unless otherwise stated, the courses will run from 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. in Seminar Room A at Hughes Hall, and will be delivered by Kirsty White.

25 October Building for inclusion seminar, with Stephen Thorpe, from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., in the Lubbock Room, Peterhouse.
1 November Teaching disabled students.
6 November Interviews and admissions: how to make them accessible to disabled students.
12 November Using tactile diagrams, with Dr Helen Petrie, of the National Centre for Tactile Diagrams, from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., in Seminar Room A, Hughes Hall.
16 November Creating a deaf user-friendly environment, with Laraine Callow, of Deafworks, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Pavilion Room, Hughes Hall.
19 November Exploring best practice in meeting the needs of students in emotional or mental distress.
26 November Understanding the dyslexia assessment, with Dr Peter Bendkowski, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the Pavilion Room, Hughes Hall.
