St Peter's College

DEPUTY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

In preparation for a major campaign to celebrate the College's 75th anniversary, St Peter's College plans to increase the staff of its Development Office with the appointment of a Deputy Development Director. Responsible to the Fundraising Fellow, the key tasks of the person appointed will include the day to day management of the office. The successful candidate will also assist in the drafting of the campaign plan and in its implementation, particularly through securing the support of old members of the College.

The ideal candidate will have a broad spectrum of successful fundraising experience, knowledge and experience of university fundraising, preferably within a collegiate university, and proven negotiating and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to manage a small team. Experience of IT fundraising systems is also required as the College currently uses AppealMaster.

An academic-related salary of £22,000 to £30,000, dependent on experience is offered. It is anticipated that the appointment will be for three years in the first instance.

The appointment would provide a useful career step towards a senior University fundraising post. For further particulars please contact Ms Olivia Henley, Registrar, St Peter's College, Oxford, OX1 2DL (tel. 01865 278864, e-mail olivia.henley@spc.ox.ac.uk), to whom letters of application, accompanied by a curriculum vitae, should be forwarded by 2 November 2001. Applicants should also ask two referees to write to the Registrar by the closing date.
