Office of Pro-Vice-Chancellor: Notice

Professor D. H. Mellor's term of office as Pro-Vice-Chancellor comes to an end on 31 December 2001 and he has indicated to the Vice-Chancellor that he does not wish to seek reappointment.

Under Statute D, IV, 2 appointment and reappointment of a Pro-Vice Chancellor is made by the Council on the nomination of the Vice-Chancellor. The Vice-Chancellor welcomes suggestions of names of suitable persons; such names should be communicated to him in writing at the University Offices, The Old Schools, Cambridge, CB2 1TN.

Statute D, IV provides for two offices of Pro-Vice-Chancellor. The other office is currently held by Mrs A. M. Lonsdale, NH, who was reappointed for three years from 1 July 2001.
