St Catharine's College

RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

The Governing Body of St Catharine's College invites applications from men and women for election to two stipendiary Research Fellowships, tenable from 1 October 2002 for three years. The Fellowships are open to graduates of any University who (i) are members of the College, or (ii) not being members of the College, are engaged in research in the Humanities or Social Sciences.

Fellowships are intended to support those at an early stage in their academic careers, and will normally be awarded to those who have recently completed their Ph.D. research, or are close to completion. Candidates should not have been engaged in full-time postgraduate research for longer than four years, and must not have already held a Research Fellowship elsewhere.

The closing date for applications is Thursday, 29 November 2001. Further particulars are available on written application to the Master's Secretary, St Catharine's College, Cambridge, CB2 1RL.

The Rev. Patrick Henry Richmond, Ph.D., Oxford, College Chaplain.

Matthew M. Mason, Ph.D., JN, College Lecturer in Non-Medical Physiology.

Elected into an Official Fellowship from 1 October 2001:

Harriet Ann Bulkeley, Ph.D., Q, Leverhulme Trust Fellow and former Research Fellow of St Catharine's College.

Philip B. Faulkner, B.A., SE, Half-time College Lecturer in Economics.

Elected into a Research Fellowship from 1 October 2001:

Dimitris Angelakis, M.Sc., Crete, Theoretical Physics.

Anthony David Woods, B.Sc., London, Chemistry.
