Notice of a Discussion on Tuesday, 16 October 2001

The Vice-Chancellor invites those qualified under the regulations for Discussions (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 112) to attend in the Senate-House on Tuesday, 16 October 2001, at 2 p.m., for the discussion of:

1. The Report of the Council, dated 23 July 2001, on the construction of a new building for the Institute of Criminology on the Sidgwick Avenue Site (p. 1001).

2. The Joint Report of the Council and the General Board, dated 23 July and 11 July 2001, on amendments to regulations relating to deductions from and additional payments to the stipends of University officers (p. 1003).

3. The Joint Report of the Council and the General Board, dated 23 July and 11 July 2001, on continuing education and lifelong learning, and the Cambridge Programme for Industry (p. 1004).

4. The Joint Report of the Council and the General Board, dated 23 July and 11 July 2001, on the relaxation of the restrictions on the holding of certain College offices and on the amount of College teaching that may be undertaken by Professors and Readers and academic-related officers (p. 1010).

5. The Report of the General Board, dated 11 July 2001, on the establishment of a Professorship of Experimental Combustion (p. 1012).

6. The Report of the General Board, dated 11 July 2001, on the establishment of a Professorship of Quantum Physics (p. 1013).

7. The Report of the General Board, dated 11 July 2001, on the establishment of Royal Society Professorships and related matters (p. 1013).
