St Hilda's College

TUTORIAL FELLOWSHIP IN MEDIEVAL FRENCH LITERATURE

St Hilda's College proposes to elect an Official Fellow and Tutor in Medieval French Literature, with effect from 1 October 2001 or as soon as possible thereafter. Only women are eligible to hold Fellowships at St Hilda's College. This is a provision of the College Statutes made under the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge Act 1923, and remains lawful by virtue of section 5(3) of the Employment Act 1989. The Fellowship will be held in conjunction with a 'Titular University Lecturership'. No separate application for this title is required.

The successful candidate must be actively engaged in research on Medieval French Literature. She must be able to lecture and to supervise graduates in the field of late Medieval Literature, and to teach literature of the period up to 1530, including medieval prescribed texts, to College undergraduates.
