Friends of Cambridge University Library

Meetings of the Friends will be held on the following dates in the Morison Room, University Library:

5 p.m. on Wednesday, 2 May

Mr Francis Spufford will speak on Blizzard of words: how writing shaped polar exploration. Entry for Friends is £2.50; for Cambridge University students it is free; and for others it is £3.50.

11.30 a.m. on Saturday, 5 May

Sir Roger Carrick, KCMG, will speak on 100 not out: a century of Anglo-Australian history, from federation to today. Entry for Friends and Cambridge University students is free; for others it is £3.50. This talk has been arranged in co-operation with the Britain-Australia Society.

5 p.m. on Wednesday, 9 May

Mr Rodney W. Shirley will speak on Maps and charts of the early explorers. Entry for Friends is £2.50; for Cambridge University students it is free; and for others it is £3.50.
