Wolfson College

DIRECTOR OF THE WOLFSON COURSE

The College proposes to appoint a Director of the Wolfson Course, in succession to Dr D. V. Wilson who is retiring, for a period of three years from 1 October 2001 in the first instance, renewable for a further period or periods.

The Wolfson Course is designed for the academic and personal development of those from industry, commerce, and the public service who have the potential to reach high levels in their respective organizations. There are normally between four and eight course participants in residence at any one time, and each course lasts for the duration of Full Term. There are usually at least two or three members from overseas.

The post of Director is part-time and work-load is equivalent to that of a normal College Tutor and carries a commensurate stipend. The duties include recruitment to the Course, liaison with sponsors, and the arrangement of the academic programme each term. The Director will be elected to an Official Fellowship and be expected to contribute to the general academic and social life of the College.

Further particulars about the Course and about the Directorship may be obtained from the President's Secretary, Mrs Emma Standhaft, Wolfson College, Cambridge, CB3 9BB (e-mail es243@cam.ac.uk). The closing date for applications, including a curriculum vitae and the names of two referees, will be 23 May 2001.
