REGULATIONS FOR EXAMINATIONS: NOTICE BY THE GENERAL BOARD

Modern and Medieval Languages Tripos

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 330)

With effect from 1 October 2001

The Faculty Board of Modern and Medieval Languages propose that the examination in certain papers should, in addition to a written paper of three hours' duration, consist of assessed course-work to be submitted by a date specified by the Faculty.

Regulation 9.

By inserting in line 4 after the word 'dissertations' the words 'and course-work'.

Regulation 13(a).

By inserting after the first sentence the following:

The Examiners or Assessors shall also assess any course-work submitted by the candidate under Regulation 16.

Regulation 16.

By inserting the following as sub-paragraph (c):

(c) to specify papers which shall include course-work in addition to the written paper. The details of the course-work required of candidates and the arrangements for the submission of such course-work shall be published by the Faculty Board not later than the division of the Easter Term next preceding the examination. Each candidate will be required to sign a declaration that the course-work is his or her own work, unaided except as may be specified in the declaration, and that it does not contain material that has already been used to any substantial extent for a comparable purpose.

By adding the following footnote to Paper Sp. 11 in each Schedule:
