Announcement of lectures and seminars

The following lectures and seminars will be open to members of the University and others who are interested:

Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic. Twelfth Annual HM Chadwick Memorial Lecture. Dr Richard Gameson, of the University of Kent at Canterbury, will deliver the twelfth Annual HM Chadwick Memorial Lecture, entitled The scribe speaks? Colophons in early English manuscripts, at 5 p.m. on Thursday, 15 March, in the Winstanley Lecture Room, Trinity College.

Chemistry. Melville Laboratory for Polymer Synthesis. The following lectures will be held on Monday, 19 March in Lecture Theatre 2, Chemical Laboratory, Lensfield Road.

2.30 p.m. High mobility hole transport materials, by Dr Stephen S. W. Leeming, of Avecia, Blackley.
3.30 p.m. Supramolecular conjugated polymers, by Dr Harry L. Anderson, of the University of Oxford.
5 p.m. Advanced materials by acetylenic nanoscaffolding: molecular wires and switches, by Professor François N. Diederich (Melville Lecturer), of ETH, Zürich.

Centre for Jewish-Christian Relations. Liberal Judaism Alma Royalton-Kisch Memorial Lectures. The first in a series of three annual lectures in memory of Alma Royalton-Kisch will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, 15 March, in the Rank Room, Wesley House, Jesus Lane. Professor John K. Roth, Russell K. Pitzer Professor of Philosophy at Claremont McKenna College, California, will deliver the lecture, entitled 'Good news' after Auschwitz? Christian and Jewish perspectives within a post-Holocaust world.
