IMMUNOLOGIST/MOLECULAR BIOLOGIST

A BBSRC-funded postdoctoral position is available immediately for a period of up to three years to work on gene expression analysis in T lymphocytes and thymocytes. The project will focus in particular on the effects on the T lineage of the rat lymphopenia (lyp) gene, which is a major predisposing factor for autoimmune (type 1) diabetes mellitus in the BB rat model, and will take advantage of emerging resources for microarray analysis. Experience in areas such as molecular biology, microarrays, cellular immunology, or flow cytometry would be advantageous. The starting salary will be in the range £19,500 to £23,000 a year, according to qualifications and experience.
