GEORGE COLIN LAWDER BERTRAM, M.A., Ph.D., Fellow of St John's College, sometime Senior Tutor, and formerly Director of the Scott Polar Research Institute, died on Thursday, 11 January 2001, aged 89 years.
PROFESSOR EDWARD MILLER, M.A., Hon. Litt.D., FBA, Master of Fitzwilliam College, 1971-81, Honorary Fellow of Fitzwilliam and St John's Colleges, died on Thursday, 21 December 2000, aged 85 years.
Please note that the Memorial Service for Professor G. E. M. Anscombe, announced incorrectly in the Reporter on 17 January 2001, will take place on Saturday, 24 February 2001 (not 24 January), at 11.30 a.m. in the Church of Our Lady and the English Martyrs, Hills Road, Cambridge. Confirmation of arrangements will be published in the Reporter at a later date.
