FELLOWSHIP AND COLLEGE LECTURESHIP IN HISTORY

Pembroke College invites applications for a College Lectureship in History with effect from 1 October 2001. The College seeks a specialist in some aspect of British and/or European history before 1750. The successful candidate will be expected to provide twelve hours a week of undergraduate supervision and to share in the Direction of Studies in History for the College. The post is tenable for three years in the first instance, with the possibility of renewal for a further two years, and carries with it an Official Fellowship at Pembroke College. The stipend will be in accordance with the scale for a University Assistant Lecturer, depending on the age and experience of the person appointed; preference may be given to candidates who have recently gained a Ph.D. Degree.
