St John's College


The Brian Runnett Prize for organ playing is open to all Junior Members of the University.

  1. The Competition will take place on Wednesday, 7 March 2001 at St John's College.
  2. Candidates will be required to play:

    (i) Prelude and Fugue in C (BWV 547) Bach

    (ii) Pastorale Franck

  3. The St John's College Chapel organ will be available for practice (two hours per candidate) during the fortnight before the Competition.
  4. Intending candidates should inform the Organist of St John's College by Friday, 19 January 2001. In the event of a large entry, a short-listing procedure will be implemented.
  5. There will be three adjudicators: Dr Peter Hurford, Mr Paul Trepte, and Mr Christopher Robinson.
  6. The value of the prize is £240.
