The Council have considered the remarks made at the Discussion of the General Board's Annual Report on 14 November (p. 232), and have referred them to the General Board.
The Council have noted that the three speakers did not oppose the recommendations of the present Report, but that they were concerned with the procedure followed in the promotions exercise (which is currently under review) and the statutory provisions governing appointments to Professorships and Readerships. The Council are therefore submitting a Grace to the Regent House for the approval of the recommendations of the Report (Grace 11, p. 231).
